When selecting Generator 3, it runs Generator 5 instead, and I often get a 'Generator Error' with the percentage turning red. How can I fix this?

Here is what I do when my generators get messed up, and there are gaps between the generators, or the order is not what I want:
Shut everything down, and power off everything. Unplug all the USB cables to the generators.
Power on the computer with the USBs disconnected. Now run Spooky. You should be in Test Mode since your generators are disconnected.
Now remove all phantom ports. In the latest Spooky2 User's Guide (found in the Help menu of Spooky), search for phantom. This will give you directions for deleting those phantom ports using one of Spooky2's utilities.
Then power on the generators. Now plug in the generators, one by one, and slowly, in the order you want your generators to appear in Spooky. Wait until Windows recognizes the current generator before you plug in the next generator.
Choose the "Rescan Devices" in the Utils menu of Spooky. Now your generators are in the order you want them.
