In some cases, removing duplicate frequencies can shorten a program when you have multiple frequency sets stacked that share common frequencies. In other cases, some frequency sets are ordered to broadcast frequencies in a particular order to break down a pathogen's defenses and removing duplicates may disrupt this approach.
I tend to only remove duplicate frequencies when using the Spooky Central Plasma, and leave them in when using a remote treatment.
