What can I do if the Spooky2 software disappeared from my Windows 10 computer?

1. Microsoft "Virus & Threat Protection" in my case quarantined the spook2.exe after a schedule scan or heuristic threat it detected I suspect.
I had to add a exclusion for both the exe program and the C:\Spooky2 folder for now.. to ensure the AntiVirus program does not quarantine the program again
Follow these steps to allow spooky2.exe run without been quarantined (whitelisted) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028485/windows-10-add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security?fbclid=IwAR1LptOrqqmzwSHxk6GbPdS1y0BI2dSsIbSbOf3-pb9ANtsnUNe-597cWoU
You will need to find the Quarantine exe and set threat level to allow and then restore the file back, this is all done within the "Virus & Threat Protection" program in Windows 10, etc..

2. https://youtu.be/PDUEinPaW10 This is the video to explain the steps in adding an executable file in the exclusion list of Windows Defender. This ensures that a legitimate file does not get deleted while the antivirus scanning occurs.

  • This was another successful solution from Facebook:
I was having problems with Spooky2 software being uninstalled. A guru in the Spooky forum said it was a trojan, Adzen. I ran Windows Defender in offline mode and after that I reinstalled Spooky2 and all was okay. I had a second notebook the same night with the same problem and did the same solution, running Win Defender in offline mode which I think does a deep scan of the places where malware likes to hide out. Anyway, it seems to resolve the problem of Spooky2 disappearing. I loaded the new Spooky2 software from the Cancer Clinic. There is a patch which I assume is to replace the Spooky2.exe file in the folder of Spooky2. It seems to work okay.

  • Adding a program and a folder to the list of exceptions did not solve the situation. Subsequent reinstallation of the program too
