I played around with Lucid Dreaming a few months ago and had great results with dream recall just by setting an intention right before going to sleep. I would lay there and think (sometimes say out loud) "I WILL remember my dreams" a few times before drifting asleep. Also keeping a journal right on the night stand and getting in the habit of writing down everything you can remember as soon as you can will help recall. Try not to get up, go to the bathroom, get water, eat something, etc, come back then write it down. More often then not you'll forget if you wait. Writing everything down immediately will help you get into the habit of remembering as well. Lots of quality Lucid Dreaming books out there as well if you're looking for more ideas. "A Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming: Mastering the Art of Oneironautics" by Dylan Tuccillo is one such book.
