This is what I found: Mesenchymal Stem Cells Exploit Extracellular Matrix as Mechanotransducer.
Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) are adult multipotent stem cells residing within the bone marrow and capable of differentiating into cell types of mesodermal origin including osteogenic, chondrogenic, adipogenic and myogenic lineages1, as well as into neurons2, vascular endothelial cells3 and cardiomyocytes4. Due to this diverse differentiation potential, great efforts are underway to exploit hMSCs for regenerative therapies.
