What is the usefulness of getting harmonics and sub-harmonics with reverse look-up after completing a scan?

The scan frequencies are all over 41 KHz. A lot of the frequencies in the database are in the under 20 KHz range. So using subharmonics helps find these lower frequency matches. For the MW frequencies or DNA frequencies, they are super high. So using harmonics of the scanned frequencies help match those (this may be backwards, I am not sure if the harmonic and subharmonics are applied to the scan results or the database frequencies).
