That is not recommended. While this works on the Spooky2-XM to boost the 5 MHz to maybe 20 Mhz, the same is not true of the GenX. This is because at 40 MHz the electronics are near their maximum speed capacity, and pushing the frequency faster than 40 MHz distorts the waveforms - the Sine Wave and Square waves (and all the other waves) become distorted.
