Yes, you can allow the display to be turned off after a period of non-use.
Go into Settings of Windows (not Spooky2). Then Home > System > Power & Sleep. I got mine set at 45 minutes. So after no operator use of the computer of 45 minutes, the display switches off. If later you hit any key or move the mouse, the display will turn back on.
