1. In my opinion as a nonmedical person, don't think so. You are going after one pathogen, you want to make sure that it is lowered in population until either it is gone or the immune system can actually attack the rest of it. Keep on going until symptoms subside and then extend a bit longer.
2. If you have like 8 generators, it is recommended to limit the amount of killing modalities to no more than 4 generators, with the other 4 doing some form of healing modality. But if you have only one XM generator, I think there is no limit but for how long and how often to run it, it may depend on the treatment mode you choose. For example, if you run it in contact mode, once a day is usually sufficient, followed up with Remote Mode for the rest of the day. You can certainly add a second contact treatment in the early evening to try to boost efficacy.
