Usually 3 - 20 volts, depending on need and application. The amplitude is going to vary depending on delivery method and what you are treating. Many of the presets are made so that you don't damage equipment or cause harm. The Scalar preset is limited to 5V to prevent damage and most of the remote settings are 5V or less because high-power is not needed to do remote treatments. PEMF coil can use 20V power because the conversion to magnetic fields isn't as strong as direct electrical stimulation (although some of the science for PEMF therapy says weaker fields are more effective so lowering the coil may be beneficial) and the wrist laser is also set at 20V. Using contact at full 20V is way too much for me so I usually stick in the range of 6-11V depending on where the TENS pads are placed on the body (areas with more skin and muscle will be less sensitive than areas directly over bone) and with the "reduce amplitude" box unchecked.
