1. Here you may have to use a little insecticide. Even those sold in grocery stores (spray type) for flying insect (flies, mosquitoes) will do. Don't worry, it will not hurt the environment or the ozone layer. Just a couple shots will do the job.
2. If you take a fresh Dead one and squash it on a paper napkin to get the DNA on the napkin. Put the napkin in a remote and run the convergence sweep for a few days. That method killed all the Japanese beetles in my neighborhood 2 years ago. We have only seen two this year and none last year.
3. The problem with them being in the wall is twofold. First, they eat through the sheetrock on the inside and start flying around the house. It sounds like that's happened, so you might want to find the spot and cover it with something.
The second problem is that if by some chance you manage to get the poison into the wall far enough to kill them, you then have an organic mass rotting away inside your wall, which isn't great.
Call an exterminator before they make more headway into your home.
