1. It depends. There are two reasons the software says Test Mode. One is when the software fails to detect generators and the other is when attempting to start a Pulse based scan without the Pulse device connected.

2. Check your USB connection, power down and reboot.
If you're doing a genuine biofeedback scan you should not be in test mode. Please go to the Utils menu at the top and select "Rescan devices".

3. The software didn't detect your generators. If the software said "No generators were detected" when you open it, then that's the case. Just make sure you connect everything right and click Utils-Rescan Devices.
4. You didn't download the drivers. Then click Utils and download the drivers by following the step.

5. Here's what I do when I see this situation on people's computer:
1). Go into Spooky2's Util menu, and choose the "Install Spooky2-XM Drivers".
2). Quit Spooky2.
3). Unplug the USB cable between the XM Generators and the computer, and unplug the USB cable for Spooky2 Pulse.
4). Then following the instructions in this document, delete all the phantom ports. https://www.facebook.com/groups/spooky2/permalink/978710752290828/
5). Make sure the XM is powered on. Then plug the USB cable between the XM generator and the computer.
6). In the Device Manager, under Ports (COM & LPT), make sure a new Silicon Labs device appears, not dimmed out. If it is dimmed, go back to step 3.
7). Now go Into Device Manager, and open up "Human Interface Devices".
8). Plugin the USB cable for the Spooky2 Pulse into the computer (not into a USB hub, as the Pulse only works if plugged directly into the computer).
9). A new device should show up under "Human Interface Devices". If one does not, try another USB port, or try another USB cable. The green light should light up on the Spooky2 Pulse.
10). If the XM and the Pulse appear on the Device Manager, then start Spooky2.

6. Your generators need to be on before you open the Spooky2 program. Otherwise, the system will assume you are in test mode.

I don't use Facebook because of its abysmal security. Is there an option that does not include letting Mark Elliot Zuckerberg into my life. I tried to log in to the user group but it said my ide was already in use then I tried to re-set my password using the email it said was already there. Nothing happened.
So far all a bit disappointing.
My email is john@evolvinghealth.co.nz. If someone can help me get into the forum and can explain where to get help that is not owned by Facebook I would be grateful. There is not much point putting a comment on the forum as I can't get into it so please email me direct.
When I go to "system" Under connected hardware, it says "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM4)" which tells me the software has detected the generator. If I get into "control" and check "overwrite generator" and then check the colored tab that says "4" with "0%" underneath it the "start" option is greyed out with the only options available being "scan" and "stop" if I check scan it says "Spooky is in Test Mode. Results will be invalid and should not be saved"
So far I have not so much as received a slight tickle out of the whole thing. If there is a spooky fairy out there who has an idea of what is going on please email me.
John
