1. I don't tick any of those setting myself, but I too have disabled hibernation.I like the tool tips, and I don't find any issue with the default setting for the CPU.
2. I asked John to add this option for very low powered devices such as Tablets. It makes no difference on a decent laptop, which yours is. It does not hurt to enable it though.
3. I don't run Windows 10. I'm still getting Windows 7 Pro installed on my new systems. And I know that Windows 10 is a major control freak. But I've put the Spooky software on several machines and haven't needed to make those changes other than in the Windows control panel. The main thing with 10 is to keep it disconnected from the internet when you're running protocols because 10 INSISTS on doing updates. The disable tooltips shouldn't make any difference and I find them handy.
Primarily, you want to go into the Windows control panel and change the Power Options keep the PC from powering off the hard drives and going to sleep. I also keep the display from ever turning off, although it shouldn't cause any issues. I think I had a system that wouldn't refresh a certain application window when it woke up, so now I don't trust any computer to sleep or blank the display.
