I am also running an old version of software because I didn't want to give up my UDB (sentimental value I guess). It is my understanding that downloading a new version of Spooky software on your computer will obviate the old version unless you have the tech skills to partition it. I do have an old laptop that I may dedicate to this software so that I can upgrade for Gen X. It is my personal recommendation for the tech unsavy to get a second cheap laptop or netbook that you can use for upgraded software and stay current. Keep it simple with the UDB by having its own set-up. Just my opinion.
