Just plug it in and use the RESCAN DEVICES from the UTIL pull down. However, it still can be problematic as it still disrupts the running programs and starts them from the beginning when rescan is done. It's not a good thing when you are running a timed program like Terrain. Also, one time it rearranged my generator ports; I notice otherwise my dog would have been treated for my hubby's problem and vice versa. Good thing I can just switch out the DNA samples easily. So, you have to pay attention and still have some resetting to do.
