Could it cause any issues if I forgot to update the software? Can I wait until the next update? Will I lose any previous Biofeedback Scan data when doing this update?

If you don't update, the only penalty is that you don't get to take advantage of the upgrades and bug fixes. Sure you can wait. Some people haven't updated since 2015. It isn't advised, since it makes support more difficult, as we support the latest version usually. Shouldn't lose scan data, but can always save the custom.csv file before updating as you'll want to bring it into the current folder again, in case it doesn't happen automatically.
