Does the Spooky2 Plasma Tube Produce Ozone, and Is It Safe to Use Indoors When Windows Can’t Be Opened?

Plasma tubes may indeed generate little ozone during operation. This is a natural by-product resulting from the high-voltage plasma ionising the surrounding air, not from the release of gases within the tube (Straight plasma tubes contain argon; Phanotron tubes contain pure helium). When used in well-ventilated environments, ozone levels typically remain within safe boundaries.

Ozone accumulation may occur when operating in enclosed spaces for extended periods, hence the official emphasis on maintaining adequate ventilation.

Also, ventilation does not necessarily mean opening windows. By avoiding placement in completely enclosed small spaces and allowing air circulation with corridors or other rooms, Plasma use remains safe and controllable.
