Yes you can, but there are some caveats. First of all, for frequencies of 100KHz and higher, standalone/offine mode of GeneratorX will work as well as online. But for low frequencies under 100 Khz, the standalone cannot do a separate Out 2 frequency, so the frequency used will be a harmonic that is 100 KHz or higher. In this case, the online version will be superior.
Also for standalone, the fixed carrier preset will not work.
You want to use the plasma shell presets that have the word "Offline" in the name for standalone/offline usage with plasma.
