Sounds like it is locked up. This happens when the Plasma bulb is too close to generators. It should be stretched out the full length of the cable. I actually stop all my other generators and just run the one controlling the bulb.

Take the generator and computer as far as possible from the plasma path. I mounted the plasma tube and laptop on a moving cart. When I am going to use plasma I move it as far as possible from the path. I stop and turn off all other generators. That fixed my problems.
