What should I do if my GenX isn't being picked up suddenly by my software?

  • I have had this happen. I shut it down, restarted it several times. Finally took a USB cable off an XM that was working and it started working again. Also, try using utilities and "Rescan Devices". Sometimes that works.
  • When you shut down the program, also turn off the remotes. Unplug them from electricity. Wait a few minutes. Meanwhile, restart the computer. Then plug the remotes back it, turn them on, and restart the spooky2 program. I believe you may be experiencing a result of static electricity build-up. It's in winter. Static is common.
