1. If it's just you, don't have to use any tape. Or use toilet paper. The tape is to keep nails separated and be able to date it.
2. You could pop into a newsagency or office supplies shop and buy a packet of small paper labels. Encase your nail samples between two of these labels, or simply wrap your sample inside one label.
