Not an expert but it is that every organism has a frequency where it thrives and others when it can live, and others where it can't live. So, when you put the dead bodies of the ant into the remote, and run the program meant for pest control, the Remote will broadcast the frequency of the dead ant, which is a frequency where they can't thrive/live or something close to that.
