Connecting more plasma tubes sounds like a good idea but the ionizing voltage will alter dramatically. We have tested 2 tubes in parallel and very often only one light. This is because a plasma tube will instantly reduce the voltage once it is lit, preventing the other one from igniting. If the tubes are wired in series the operating frequency range is markedly reduced.
