1. It should if you use the cold laser shell preset.
2. I think Cold Laser is mainly for healing. If you're using drug frequencies like Ibuprofen, you could try to ease your pain in a certain area. But if it's the drug for killing pathogens, I think contact mode would be more effective than Cold Laser.
