The plasma tube can interfere with household appliances, but if your house is well wired and the appliances are not too close, should operate without issue.
I can pick up the energy signature of the plasma in most of my wireless devices all around my house with a meter I have; but to be honest, the microwave oven has more potential to interfere with them than the plasma tube given where it is positioned in the house.
