Contact mode is faster acting. However, remote is more convenient as you are not obviously tied to the machine. The normal dwell times (amount of time to generate the frequency) defaults to the time for contact mode. Many will run the same amount of time via remote. Some will reduce the time by a third, but also increase the exposure run to 4 when running remote. This in the end extends the time from frequency set to frequency set in a program. Advise researching more on the use of the dwell setting to meet your needs.
