For INSECT CONTROL - Wasps, Fire Ants, Black Ants, Fleas, Ticks, Mites, visible Intestional Worms, Mosquitoes, Aphids - collect & run the preset: Spectrum Sweep (Legacy)
1. Collect 1-2 samples (ants -from each colony). If the insect is too big for the remote - make sure the gut contents are in the remote. See below.
2. Put into remote. No need to put in paper tape.
3. Load spectrum sweep (Legacy): Presets / Frequency sweeps / Remote / Spectrum Sweep (Legacy)
4. Control tab / overwrite generator / choose gen / click start
5. Let run for 3 weeks (504 hours min - as can see in Control Tab/ Current Preset Duration). Add new samples each week or 2 as what you see may be from a different colony.
1 week - see less activity. Ants stop moving in straight lines. Can visibly see them wiggle & become disoriented.
2 weeks - likely will not see more
3 weeks - some insects take 3 weeks. They are stubborn. Some seem to die in 2 weeks.
6. Again, this only kills the current colony as these are the ones which have the same exact gut DNA. If you see more, its a different family. Collect and restart the generator because it will need to run a min of 504 hours.
7. How does it work? If the insect is too big for the remote, just put the abdomen/stomach as its important to rife its gut biome.
Spectrum Sweep (legacy) will kill all bacteria. It hits every frequency in the database. In time, all bacteria inc gut bacteria will be killed. This is a life force for the parasite. Once gut bacteria is dead, the insect will die.

Why 3 weeks? The insect's lifecycle is 3 weeks. Sometimes eggs will survive then hatch out - you want these to be executed as well. Otherwise, they can take hold again with the next generation.

Since 2022, the correct sweep is called Spectrum Sweep (Legacy). Older 2018 & earlier it was just called Spectrum Sweep. But John changed the settings at some point and in 2022 he brought the original Spectrum Sweep back into the software adding Legacy to the title. In the current software, if you run just spectrum sweep, it will not include the full range of frequencies and has been less effective. May still work but the more effective sweep is Legacy.

I use 2 insect remotes during the summer and fall. Then clean the remotes with an alcohol pad to dedicate them to our pets.
One year I collected FIRE ANTS from 50 mounds over 5 acres. And in a few weeks those mounds were gone. The next year we had 20 mounds. This year, we have even fewer mounds. Recommend using long rubber gloves to collect fire ants. Ever see farm land with huge mounds of fire ants? This would be so great for farmers.
Who has ever seen a decrease in fire any mounds. Takes only 1 ant from each mound.
