I think the only reason for "dedicating" the generator (via the icon) to Spooky2 Central or Spooky2 Plasma is to avoid error when selecting.
The question asked by the software, from memory, is whether the generator is *always* connected to Spooky2 Central/Plasma, and in your case it is not. Just be very careful to run only Plasma Presets when connected to Central/Plasma, and run only Remote Presets when you've unplugged the Central/Plasma cables and connected your Boost and Remote.
