The difference is the strength of the signal. Through headphones, you get a very small signal from the ears.
Through Remote, each cell gets more than from the ears.
Through Contact, the cells that the current passes through getting much more signal than from Remote.
Plasma is stronger than any of the above.
Rife is direct frequency input. Binaural beats result from the beat created by 2 different frequency and the phase shift between the frequency as it plays... it's usual for binaural beats to have a different frequency in each ear to entrain the brain which is why it only works properly through headphones.
