When I had tennis elbow, I put the tens pad on either elbow (on the meaty part... not the bone), selected healing and ran muscles to relax, inflammation, and acute pain. I do contact mode for 3 hours and a combination of those 3 frequencies... reduced by 1/2 the first session. You'll need to do probably 4 sessions for it to "go away".
