Can anyone explain why killing candida should provoke a mild episode of thrush?

There are several possible reasons:
1) The candida is fighting for its life.
2) The killing of the candida releases some heavy metal toxins that the candida has helped sequester, so the remaining candida "flares" to contain it again, rather than have the levels get too high again.
