If we have colon cancer with cancermethastasis, should we run 'colon cancer' or deal with these metas?

Typically, when you have a particular type of cancer metastasize to another location, you have the same cells now just in another location. Therefore, colon cancer cells in the lungs are not lung cancer (a mutation of the lung cells) and should be treated as such.
