A sample of each chicken (toenail is probably easiest) and a lice sample all separated by a piece of tape in the remote would be great.
I would say, "Yes, it is best to kill the lice to put it in the tape."
Vaseline shouldn't be a problem, as far as I know there isn't any DNA in it.
What Program(s) to run... With only 1 generator, I would probably run the HC or KHz Shell Preset with Lice Infestations (KHz) program and run it continuously for 60 hours and then evaluate.
