1. I ran the Program - Migraine Disorders as soon as I started seeing the visual indicators. It helped. I, also, use peppermint oil on my temples, forehead, base of skull, and on my hand (so I can smell it). This has stopped them on numerous occasions. I carry a vial of roll-on peppermint oil in my purse.
2. Ocular migraines appear and are different for different folks, the only thing one knows for sure is they last for 20 minutes, you can set your clock by it! Medical disorders do not know the difference between a migraine with aura and an ocular migraine, I think you would be best not to try and describe one or the other.
