While using high power output for contact mode and having lowered amplitude from 20 to 18V and ticked 'reduce amplitude' box. Will this significantly reduce contact mode effectiveness?

1. It should have very close to the effectiveness, maybe even more, depending on the person - as they may not be tensing up to avoid pain, due to a lesser amplitude. This is an individual parameter that is hard to judge.

2. The minimum recommended voltage is 14v to penetrate the skin. With the boost, which doubles the voltage when used with inverse+sync, this means that you can go as low as 7v in the software settings. Without a boost and one should remain above 14v. However, with the reduce amplitude setting, we are asking that all frequencies below 10000 (default) be cut in half starting at 1 Hz, and on a linear scale brought back to full voltage at 10000 Hz. So the use of reduce amplitude only works if your voltage remains at 14v in the settings to start with. So 18v with a boost is fine. 1 Hz would be cut to 9v, which doubled by boost is 18. 5000 Hz would be cut to 13.5v, and 10000 and up will be restored to 18v which doubled by the boost is 36v.
