Would it be useful to lay down aluminum foil under each one in a shelving unit to isolate Spooky2, laptop, and Central?

1. We use that aluminum foil insulating material sold at home improvement stores. It works great. So, I would think that just foil may do the job too.
2. This method is used inside a lot of guitar amps to block noise and signal interference from entering the circuit and coming out the speaker cabinet. I think this would be very beneficial. However, I would put it on the bottom of the shelves or place some rubber mat on top of it so your spooky gear isn't directly touching the metal foil. I've read that USB cables ect should not touch any metal.
