The coil is very low resistance. When I use coil, I don't get light flash on the Boost because the pulse is very short term, so the LEDs don't light for long enough to show brightly. Just a function of physics. If you have coil on one Out and something else on the other, my guess is that the only time the coil side LED lights is when the coil loses contact momentarily.
