Been test running Phanotron tube, output signal is 3/4 less than with the straight tube, why? The tube electrodes are not in alignment with each other as they should be. The angled disc is considerably off, not even pointing at the reflector.

The electrodes are perfectly aligned. Please check the photos I sent showing this. The thick borosilicate glass has a refractive index that makes the discs appear out of alignment. Just as a fish bowl makes fish appear larger. It is not possible to have the electrodes out of alignment because the tube is perfectly symmetrical.
