Can the Spooky2-XM be utilized as a stand alone frequency meter? What's the procedure if I have a frequency signal source that is 5 DC volts?

You can use a Spooky2-5M generator in standalone mode to measure a frequency. Two inputs are provided. Ext.IN is essentially an analog input suitable for most tasks. TTL is an output AND a digital input (which function needs to be set using the generator's controls).
